My practice has always been primarily focused on general business law and estate planning. I have represented manufacturing companies, building contractors, restaurants, day cares, and other business in all aspects of their business from start-up, financing, employment, real estate, litigation and purchase and sale of business interests.
Working with the individuals in the business has always led to a personal connection and often my representing them in their personal matters such as estate planning and developing a purposeful succession plan for their business and estate.
I started off as a solo attorney immediately after graduating from Gonzaga University. After about 11 years of solo practice, I joined the Spokane law firm of Winston and Cashatt where I was a partner and practiced there for ten years. I have also served as an in-house general counsel for a major trucking firm, expanding my general business experience to include the details of the trucking industry.
I have proudly participated in the Spokane community volunteering with several valuable nonprofit organizations. I was a founding member of the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Spokane County, serving for over five years including one year as President. I was also a long-standing member of the North Spokane Exchange Club, and am currently a trustee for the Spokane Guilds School Foundation.
